Appeal from SAATHI, CRY and GANATAR in Ahmedabad
Food for 5000 people for a month - Respond before February 8, 2001 |
Dear Friends,
SAATHI is a registered voluntary organisation based in Mumbai working with children on the streets for four years now.We address various issues
related to their lives and support them in their process of "settling
down."
We at SAATHI have also been touched by the pain that the people of Gujarat are experiencing today and we are reaching out.Each phase of our
involvement there has brought about different kinds of support that was
required and we have tried to raise resources accordingly.We are in
regular touch with Voluntary organisations based there and receive inputs
from some of our team members too.
We with CRY and GANATAR in Ahmedabad have now decided to meet the food
requirements of 5000 families for one month.The following is a list of
things that needs to be mobilised. We request you to respond as generously as you can and pass this around to your friends too.
Items needed:
1.Wheat Flour--- 200,000 kgs
2.Cooking Oil --- 10,000 litres
3.Sugar--- 5000 kgs
4. Rice---- 50,000 kgs
5.Tea Leaves ---- 5000 kgs
6.Dal ----------- 10,000 kgs (Tuvar or Moong)
7.Chilli powder- 500 kgs
8.Turmeric powder-- 300 kgs
9.Salt 500 kgs
