Dear Friends,
This is a note to let you know that the medical sector coordination group
with which we are working have tried to structure the medical relief and
supplies in a more rational way , so that we reach supplies to teams in
the field, in planned ways . The note below explains it all.

Indian Medical Association, Bangalore, Telefax: 6703253 are willing to
receive supplies directly as an alternative. The "medical relief and
health care" note may be freely circulated on "mailers and "websites".
CHC's focus will be especially on orienting volunteers/ teams to general
situation analysis, medical challenges, community health challenges,
public health issues, psychosocial consequences, do's and don'ts for
planning, organisation and team work and psychosocial preparedness. A
training for potential 'medical' volunteers is scheduled for 6th Feb 2001
at the Indian Medical Association, A. V. Road (Beside Tipu's Summer
Palace), Bangalore. A few more at other institutions is possible .
